  1. My beau and I both recently read Better Off and loved it. We also read See You in a Hundred Years, which is a similar premise — except these folks have no clue what they’re doing, and they try to do it alone. It’s a pretty funny read. We somehow ended up with two copies of John Seymour’s The Self Sufficient Life and How to Live It, one from 1976 and a more recent edition. It’s funny to see how the pictures have been changed.
