We woke up on Saturday to a beautiful dusting of fluffy white snow on the world. I love the first accumulating snow of the season – everything is christened with a layer of sparkly white. Snow flew all day – heavier in the morning and then so fine it was barely visible in the afternoon. An indoor day.
For brunch, I made up some cinnamon-spiked French toast with hot tea (coffee for husband, as usual). I did have great plans for projects (Christmas is really creeping up on me here…) but I confess I did spend several hours in front of the television watching Anne of Green Gables on PBS. I did a tiny bit of crocheting and a little reading, and a little bit of starting out the window and watching the snow drift lazily about. But that’s what snow days are for.
