We put up a small amount of food last summer and fall, and it’s held out fairly well. The canned tomatoes lasted until the end of January, which is about how far I thought we’d get. We used the last of the frozen sweet peppers in early February. We still have canned apples, frozen hot peppers (one bag left!), pickled hot peppers, frozen corn, and a good amount of frozen fruit – blueberries, plums, peaches, and raspberries, plus walnuts, frozen apple pie filling and three jars of jam. We also still have about three quarters of a gallon of honey. So since it’s March 25th today, our winter store has officially held out a week into spring!
